Mitch Fields serves as Vice President at Newport Construction, bringing over a decade of leadership and a lifetime of hands-on experience in the construction industry. Having grown up around job sites, Mitch developed a deep-rooted passion for building early on—one that continues to drive his hands-on approach today.

As a graduate of Texas A&M University, Mitch pairs his formal education with real-world experience to lead projects with confidence and clarity. At Newport, he plays a central role in guiding developments from initial concept through to final completion. He works closely with architects, real estate brokers, construction managers, and tenants to ensure every project is delivered with precision and integrity.

His unique ability to blend strategic vision with operational know-how has earned him a reputation as a trusted leader in commercial construction.

Outside the office, Mitch enjoys golf, bird hunting, and spending quality time with his wife, Molly, and their two children, Reagan and Keaton. His dedication to both his profession and his family reflects the values that shape his leadership every day.

His journey began with a solid foundation in on-the-ground management as a superintendent, where he honed his skills in overseeing construction processes, coordinating teams, and ensuring that projects met quality and timeline expectations.

After graduating from the University of Texas at Austin, he progressed to a Project Manager, gaining valuable insights into financial management and strategic planning. His ability to manage millions in project budgets and navigate the intricacies of client relationships allowed him to deliver results consistently. His role at Lincoln Property Company further broadened his horizons, exposing him to diverse markets and varying project requirements.

Mark’s collaborative approach not only fosters strong relationships with stakeholders but also encourages open communication among team members, leading to innovative solutions and efficient project execution. His unique ‘owner’s side’ viewpoint ensures that he prioritizes value creation while maintaining a focus on practical implementation, ultimately benefiting the projects he oversees and the clients he serves.
